William Westley Church of England Primary School Let your light shine

'Let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven' Matthew 5:16

William Westley Charity

The foundations of the William Westley charity enable children (especially the poor who would not have been able to afford any kind of education) to be educated and instructed about the Christian religion and Christian values, in order to flourish in their learning and bless others.

These Christian values set up by William Westley are at the heart of our school today: positivity, kindness, respect, self-control, self-worth, celebration.  The school vision “Let your light shine”, from the Bible verse, Matthew 5:16 is embedded in all that the school staff, pupils and community do.  It is the basis and core of the school’s Christian ethos and values and the ‘William Westley’ way of doing and being community together.

William Westley Charity (Registered Charity number: 295794) exists to support and uphold these values and desires of William Westley and his legacy.  The Charity trustees are able to use the funds to; “promote the education of young persons resident in Whittlesford either by providing such special benefits of any kind not normally provided by the local education authority for the William Westley School …..in accordance with the principles and doctrines of the Church of England.”

We have recently set up an online giving page for the Charity to make it easier to give;
