Y2 Learning

Autumn Term

Welcome back to school. We are looking forward to seeing you and getting started in our Year 2 classroom.

Although it is a new school year we know that we have had a few months away from school and have been learning at home. We are now ready to return and we will be working together in our Year 2 bubble. We are excited to learn and have fun together again.

We will start by reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. This will be our class book and we will use it to help inspire and shape our writing as well as our reading.

In maths, we are going to be looking at how we can use numbers in many different ways, place value and addition and subtraction of 2-digit numbers. To see what our focus is each week, refer to the White Rose link in our list of online resources to support learning.

Don't worry if you think that this will be too hard or that you aren't sure where everything is, we are here to help and support you. We shall begin by getting to know each other again and to share what we have been doing and learning whilst we weren't in the classroom.

We are so excited to begin. See you soon.
